Hi.

When I start my computer up it starts up as normal, but then beeps and tells me "no keyboard detected". Then the computer carries on as normal, but the mouse doesn't work either - both are plugged in via USB ports. I have tried putting the keyboard and mouse into different ports but the problem still occurs. I have tried plugging in just a normal USB memory stick and it lights up, but then the computer doesn't recognize it like it should do. I am wondering if there is a virus, but have no way of checking as I can't do anything once the computer has booted up. The keyboard won't work at all, so I can't get into the bios to ensure that the USB ports are enabled.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Try a PS2 mouse or keyboard if you have one. You can get an adapter for your usb if you don't have one. Or try to borrow one from someone temporarily.
