I've been using a Logitech USB keyboard for 6 months now, ever since my other keyboard, which used a Ps/2 port screwed up and couldn't work. It was working fine last night, but when I turned my com. on this morning, the keyboard just stopped working. I tried plugging it into the other USB ports and it seemed fine. All 6 of the USB ports on my computer are in use right now, and it seems that the one that was not working was the one that I plugged my keyboard into. The funny thing is, it could not be detected anymore (the USB port I used to plug my keyboard into), and I had to use the port at the front of my computer.

Using the port at the back, my keyboard was functional during startup. It was only when it reached the log-in screen that it could not work at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I had this computer for the past 2.5 years, and this is the first time the USB ports had this problem/screwed up on me.

A shot in the dark, but try this: Click Start>Run, type devmgmt.msc and press enter. Click the plus sign beside "Universal Serial Bus Controllers." Right click each listing that appears underneath "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" and click Uninstall. Click OK on the confirmation dialogs. After you get done uninstalling all of them, restart your computer and Windows should reinstall them. After it is done, try that USB port again.
