Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 4530 Notebook, a few weeks ago my MP3 player kept saying it was "Write Protected" and told me to remove the protection. There was no protection enabled so I assumed the MP3 player was busted(it was dollar store crap). Later on I got a new mp3, and also a hard drive. Both say they are write protected, but THEY ARE NOT. I've tried them on other computers and they worked fine, my friend brought one of his MP3 players and it also said that it was write protected.

What is causing this, and how can I fix it?
I've tried multiple ports, all say the same.

The only possible cause is this:

A0LCZSPU IDE Controller under storage controllers says the driver is corrupt. I'm trying to find the write driver but I cant seem to find it. I have a disc with the factory drivers and I'am going to try that next.

Im also going to try to uninstall and reinstall this device. But if that doesn't work, I'm stumped.

Thanks for any help

... might be worth trying > system restore < to a restore point before the problem!
