I've had a usb pen drive for a few weeks now and ever since i used it on a computer running win 2000 it reports as "write protected" even though the write protect switch is in the off position and password protection is disabled.

What brand of pen drive?

P.S. Flash drives are cheap now. Go buy a new one.
