I've got an Asus P4C 800-E that I'm having trouble with. I've tried plugging a couple different devices into the USB on my system. A Sandisk mini, and just now a Canon Powershot. The computer doesn't even see them. My keyboard and mouse work in the usb slots, and I even tried their slots, but nothing. Does anyone know what the problem is?
I'm running XP Pro, with SP2. I have not flashed the bios in a long time, and don't really want to. It's ridiculous that I still need a floppy disk and DOS in order to upgrade anything. My older ABIT machine can update everything online.

Thanks in advance and let me know if you need further info.

You may not have your MOBO drivers installed.

Windows XP may have installed default drivers for the hardware on your MOBO.

Your MOBO may have a driver disc or you may get them from the MOBO manufacturer's website.

Just a thought.
Your post is "not working with certain device". Have you checked under My Computer to see if it's showing up as another drive?
You shouldn't need to flash the BIOs for the USB to work properly.
