So the power went out today, everything was fine and now its all messed up. First my audio does not work..but the light turns on on the speaker. Now I tried to hook my ipod up, but now it says "USB Devise Not Recognized" "one of the USB devises attached to this pc has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it."

I'm guessing there is something wrong with the USB or drivers or something.

My computer was built by someone I know. Its Windows XP.

I know I need to know other things in order to get help, but I forget where to look to find out what I have.

try uninstalling the audio drivers and installing the latest ones. your audio dirver might have gotten corrupted during the sudden power outage.
