I am having a core2duo pc, last week its smps stopped working so I changed it. But the pc started working and a new problem arrised. It stopped recognizing the usb ports. It shows new hardware found on usb plug in but also show unknown device on successful installation of usb device.

Might have to now get new drivers or re-install them. I'd start with the motherboard chip drivers from the OEM source.

Also check that usb is enabled like you want in bios.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?
