I have installed a Thomson Speedtouch 330 modem for wanadoo broadband. It has installed correctly after I used the driver upgrade (Rel 3.0.1) from speedtouch site. The problem is that whenever I try to boot the pc with the modem connected to the usb port, windows will only load as far as the following prompt-> C:\>Set tvdumpflags=10
C:\> C:\>
The PC will then freeze and the only way I am able to get it to continueto load is to disconnect the speedtouch modem from the PCs usb connection. I have attempted to update my USB contoller drivers but not sure if it worked. I am running Intel 82801AB USB Universal Host Controller. If I connect the modem to PC after it has rebooted, it locks on to a broadband signal and I am able to connect to the internet. Because its an older machine the usb ports are at the back and its a real pain having to disconnect / reconnect all the time. Does anybody have any ideas???
