Reply: (edit)You don't mention what your 'USB mass storage device' is. But you should probably go to their support page and and see what's there. Also, Microsoft's update site should have the latest USB drivers.

Reply: (edit)I don't know if that's the latest version or not. I'm not running XP. I would think USB drivers will be on Chaintech's site and I know there's some on microsoft's update site. Microsoft's should be the newest. If you're having problems with a specific device connected to the USB port you should try their manufacturer's site. Any other problems not solved by updating drivers are probably configuration problems or the device may be bad.

Reply: (edit)Most USB mass storage devices use the Microsoft XP drivers. Many storage device driver problems are related to MOBO chipset drivers.

Reply: (edit)Did you install the driver manually? Open device manager, properties, update driver & select the driver file from where you unzipped it too.

Reply: (edit)What is this, a Flash Card Reader? It's rarely (if ever) necessary to spend money on drivers, even for ones you don't actually need Every couple of days you seem to have a new 'issue' with this machine I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter
