Hello,
I was wondering if someone could answer a
question of mine. I recently purchased a
karaoke player, which should be coming in
within a week. The player boasts that it can
recognize USB drives. I have a 1 TB USB HDD
drive, will the player recognize this USB HDD
as a USB drive (thumb drive)? I know it
depends on the hardware. I guess I would like
to know the answer in general; are USB HDD
read or recognize as a general USB thumb
drive?

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. The only issue i could see is that the karaoke system has a external storage limit like you can only plug in something that is 8gb or less.

I was thinking the same thing, I know that some devices have a upper limit to what they can recognize as usable space. Thanks for the reply, I guess I'll find out if it works or not within a couple of days.

I tried a 40GB drive in mine, it wouldn't read it, USB sticks work fine, the largest I have is 4GB, but larger should work.
I think they are just to play a few MP3's small videos and photo's.
I finished up buying a WD Media Player which you can plug 2 USB drives into at the same time.

Hmm that sounds interesting anmor. Do you mind telling me which brand/model of karaoke player you have?
