i bought a sandisk cruiser 2gb drive a month ago. my desktop winxp can't never mount it well. when plugged in, i can see a 'removable drive' in the explorer. but click on it, it opens up an empty window where i can't save or see any files on it. when unplugged, the 'removable drive' remains and occupied that drive letter and if plugged in the drive again, it doesn't see the drive has been plugged in. but it works totally fine on my other computer.
i have tried to uninstall usb driver and reinstall it. and i have tried reassign drive letter. neither worked.
The major difference that I could find was the workaround does not allow the usage of DMA for the device.
Regards, Bryan

thanks for your help, bryan. i tried but it is still not working.
i think it might related to a corrupted registry. i have found a possible fix of the registry on google. so i am gonna try that, i'll post it here later whether it worked or not.
