Hi Help please!! My USB flash drive/stick is no longer detected on my computer. When i plug in my USB stick i can hear windows sound detecting a new device and a little led light comes on on the USB stick however nothing shows up in windows!! I have done the following: * checked device manager (no corrupted USB drives showing) * checked "Disk Management" (No removable drive is detected) * Tried a different computer and the USB stick is working fine. I know its something to do with the computer. Can you please help?

also forgot to mention that i've tried multiple USB ports on the front and back of the machine to no avail. Your input is appreciated.

You can run the system file checker to verify all files a present and in their proper place ! Go to Start /Run/ type cmd when the box opens type sfc /scannow(note the space between the c / ) and the system file checker will start to run ,usally takes about 1 hour to complete ! Oh I apoligize I forgot to mention you must B/4 you do the above steps put you WinXP O/S disk in your CD drive hold down the shift button so it does'nt auto play ,once the lite stops trying to access the CD you can follow the directions above and run the System File Checker !
