Comment:

I have a 256mb USB Flash Disk, after using the disk on a college computer system I can now only save a max of 64mb. In the properties it only shows 63.7mb when it use to show 255mb. I have tried software programs like Partition Magic 8.0 but to no effect. What could be the problem and how can I recover the lost capacity so i can use it. My friends USB disk displays its "Partition Style" as "Not Applicable" when my displays it as MBR (Master Boot Record, is this the problem? Either way please could you help.

I'm taking a guess. The flash drive is a drive and its capacity is reflected on how it is formatted and the operating system used to access and write to it. To recover the full size you can reformat.

Wizard-fred is right, you must reformat it.
