Reply: (edit)I have one of these and it works perfectly BUT there is one catch. It is powered off the USB slot and it will not work off the front USB ports. on my work Compaq, (it gives a little hunting noise.)but it does work off the rear USB ports. I can only assume the front ports do not have the necessary power to spin it up. Can't think why but be aware. Regards,
