Comment: Ive searched all over the web and i finally thought id check in with u guys as you usually help :) I have a camera that uses a usb cable.Now there was never any software that came with the camera as Windows just picks it up as a removable disk (so its not software).When ever i plug it in i get error message ' Usb device not recognized'. All other flash drives work in this port... and the camera works on my dads laptop.i dont know what to do.ive deleted all usb in device manager and still get same error. any help please :(

Reply: (edit)try just reinstalling your USB drivers first. look on ur motherboard website for USB updates. install those, then search online your camera's website for latest drivers. install those (with the camera disconnected) and reboot your computer. plug in the device, and it should work. what "device not recognized" means is that the driver is incorrectly communicating with the device or there is no driver for the device and windows cant find an appropriate one. good luck
