usb drive showing blank

Specs: Windows Vista

I have a 4gb moserbear usb drive which one day my friend pluged in his car's stereo to listen music and after that it "shows insert disk in drive" every time it is inserted in usb slot. I have already checked it on different systems but it shows same thing every time. could anyone help?

Check Windows Disk Management to see how the drive is shown there. Post the results here.

You may need to reformat it to fix that problem. If you have files to recover, try using recuva to do that. Get recuva at the link below.

in windows disk management it shows NO MEDIA. I have already tried to fix it by changing drive letter path and format too.....but nothing worked...any suggestions??????

If a drive letter is assigned then try using recuva to recover any files then delete the partition/s and recreate and format it.

If you have not dropped the drive or otherwise damaged it, your problem was probably caused by you NOT clicking on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in your Taskbar and STOPping accessing the drive BEFORE you unplugged the drive while Windows was running.
There are several programs that you could try that will probably fix your problem.

when i tried to format or open the drive it shows NO DISK .is this usb got damaged. how to do that.

The info is the same for you except you don't have an external hard drive and USB flash drives don't require much current
