I have a 128MB usb drive that I bought at a computer show. It is no-name brand (usually meaning crap) and I threw out the CD and manual it came with (smart =P). Anyway, I plug it into my usb port and windows knows a "usb mass storage device" was plugged in, but it doesnt show it in My Computer. The usb drive itself has two switches on it, one saying "lock" and one saying "password". If I remember correctly, this all started happening after I enabled the password switch. If I turn the password switch on, then it asks me for a "security device driver". Im thinking I need this driver, but dont know how to find it because I dont know the manufacturer.
If anyone knows how I can solve this problem, either by flashing the device somehow, or know of a way to find the driver, I would GREATLY appreciate it.
Thanks

You will probably have to go online to the manufacturers web site, download the appropriate driver, load it. attach the USB device and restart the PC.

"I threw out the CD and manual it came with"
Now you know why there were included. You're gonna have to somehow identify the manufacturer, then download the manual & driver
Asus A7N8X-X
2500+ Sempron @ 2100mhz
10.5 x 200mhz @ 1.80v
512mb PC3200
Ti4200/8X 128mb
WDC 60GB

Yes yes, Im well aware of my mistake. Got any tips on how to find the driver? I went to google images and typed in "128MB usb flash drive" and tried looking for an image matching mine, but no luck =[. Is there a program that might be able to identify my device?

Catch 22, if you knew the name, you might find the flash file but if you knew the name, you could find the driver for the EPROM you have. Substituting for a known good drive on a working system may at least develop an error message with a clue. At least that is what I would do for starters. Is it by chance in an enclosure? Sometimes IDE drives are enclosed in an enclosure that also includes the printed circuitry to convert to USB. Worth a look.
