USB devices not recognised

I was trying to install a USB external storage device to my Millenium PC.

It would not recognise it so I gave up.

Now I cannot get the PC to recognise any of my other USB devices - have I blown something

It's doubtful that you've blown anything but you could probably remove the device from the device manager and reinstall it (let the OS do it).
