But since that night I'm facing this problem of my PC not reading any usb device...(i use a HP PSC 1410 all in one printer...the usb is plugged in the back port.)But now when i switch on the printer there is nothing read by the computer , I'm quite sure the printer is working properly..i tried to use my pen drive also that also wasn't read by the PC . NO ERROR MESSAGE IS GENERATED BY THE COMPUTER when i plug anything in the usb port. PLEASE HELP I'm SUFFERING A LOT DUE TO THIS....ALL MY WORK IS RELATED TO PRINTER PLEASE REPLY ASAP .

Try forcing Windows to re-install fresh drivers for the usb ports:

Open Device Manager.
Expand the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" category.
Right-click each "USB Root Hub" in turn and choose "Uninstall".
(Do not uninstall any "Host Controllers").
Restart Windows & it will automatically install the USB hub drivers.
