usb device not recognized on front

i installed xp with sp2, and also all the drivers. the front usbs on the case come up usb device not recognised no matter what usb i put in there, the back ones work no problem. They worked fine before on a previous intallation of xp, so i doubt its the connection. Thanks

It can't do any harm to remove the conector from the motherboard, boot up. Reconnect & reboot. I have a card reader & front usb ports using 3 connectors on the motherboard. If my card reader stops showing the green light thats what I try first.
Before posting try google. Backup. Use anti virus software.
