Comment:

I have recently purchased a USB 2.0 card and installed it in a vacant PCI slot.
Everthing that is USB works just fine; however, when I go to Start/My Computer, there is NOTHING at all listed...it is blank. Nothing shows...no drives or anything. I've had to remove the card and run GOBACK to take my computer back to before the install.
Any ideas on what's happening and how to get everything to work? Thanks...

You just have to give us some specifics to be able to answer this...what isn't listed? In another words what should show up on the card?
I.E. if hard drives are they formatted? if they aren't they won't show up.

When My Computer is open, the 3 1/2 Floppy (A), the Local Disk (C) which is formatted, CD Drive (D), CD-RW Drive (E), Removable Disk (F), Scanner, Shared Documents and H's Documents...all are missing after the install of the USB 2.0 card..there is nothing but a big nothing inside My Computer.

Also, with the disapperance of everything in My Computer, I decided to look in the Device Manager to see if there were any conflicts and found no conflicts or anything.

FYI...in exasperation I returned the USB 2.0 to the store where it was purchased, but I would be willing to purchase another. Perhaps purchasing another brand would be worth trying?

Wow, that is strange...
By all means buy another...buy an Adaptec card, and nothing like this will happen.

Thanks...
I'll give my local Circuit City, Office Depot and Office Max a try and see if any one of them
have that brand.

have trouble finding it...I bet it is cheaper here and will arrive faster then if you made the loop of all the "high priced spread" you mentioned....
