Hello,

I seem to be still having problems with my USB ports. I have an MSI k8n neo4 platinum motherboard which has USB 2.0 ports. However, they are always reported as USB 1.1 and any USB 2.0 device keeps popping up a message saying that it is plugged into a non-highspeed hub.

Service pack 1 is suppost to fix the problem but that did not do any good and I also downloaded a windows fix from microsoft that said would solve the issue but it is still not working as it should.

Also looked in the bios for USB settings and the only setting is to turn the USB controller on or off.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

In this device manager, the USB controllers are listed as:

-Standard OpenHCD USB Host controller
-USB Root Hub

Thanks in advance.

if jam's suggestion doesn't work, check your motherboard manufacturers website. Some, have USB2 drivers up for download
