Does anyone know if there is such a thing as USB 2.0 cable? I know there are USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 ports, but do you have to use a USB 2.0 cable with a USB 2.0 port to get the actual performance?

If the cable is good quality it will be able to handle USB1.x and 2.x, the USB standard does not afaik state a difference.

I know there are cables that the manufacturer says they are rated for the USB 2.0 specification. In general what I have seen are these are more thick in diameter than USB 1.0/1.1 cables. I do not for sure know wether there is a USB 2.0 cable standard. To be on the safe side I always buy the cables that "claim" they are rated for USB 2.0 (they are backwards compatible with USB 1.0/1.1.)
