Ok, here is a doozy for you guys. I have a visioneer 9020 USB 2.0 scanner hooked directly into my computer motherboard usb 2.0 port (asus a78nx deluxe). I also have a usb 1.1 hub connected to one of the onboard ports (bios is setup for 1.1 and 2.0). When I installed the software and driver for scanner, the scanner was detected but would not associate the driver to it (unknown hardware in usb). I unplugged the hub, and still not found. Leaving the hub off, I uninstalled the scanner software/ driver and reinstalled. Scanner was found and worked perfectly. After reconnecting the hub, the scanner can't be found again. I unplug the hub, and it still can't be found unless I uninstall/ reinstall software). The USB hub has its own power, my power supply is a 400Watt supply, so I do not believe it to be a power issue (especially when I remove the hub). I also moved hub and scanner to different ports to ensure no problems there. Real mind boggler to me, any suggestions?
