Not enough info. What are system specifications? Is this a fresh installation problem or was it working previously and suddenly stopped? What kind of modem? Is this an internal/onboard dialup modem or are you trying to connect to an external cable/dsl modem? Or it this one of the newer USB Wireless modems that operate via the cellphone network? Your problem may seem urgent to you but unless you properly describe your system and the exact circumstances of your difficulty there's no chance you'll get an accurate timely response.
