Okay so if anyone can answer this, I will be very very happy because I've googled it and it seems like its not that popular.

What I've done is installed my Vista 86x on an 80gb HDD alone, nothing else is on it except drivers and a few odds and ends. The bulk of my programs/games are on a separate HDD. I have Win 7 Pro 64x which I would like to install as my new main OS. The question is, is it possible reformat my 80gb HDD with Vista and then install Win7 fresh? Would that cause problems with my programs/games installed on my other drive? Or would I have to end up reinstalling them since it is now a 64x instead of a 86x?

You can do that, and your programs/any data installed on the other hard drive will remain. HOWEVER, many of your programs will probably need to be reinstalled from with-in Windows 7. This is a pretty good way to go though, as usually the saved games, custom documents, etc. will be retained when you install the games again, so other than apply the updates, you'll be right back where you left them. Keep in mind some games and programs store their user data under the Documents and Settings folder which will be on the same drive as Windows. You should probably back that up before installing Windows 7.

Thank you for the fast reply :) Yea I've had many a bad experience from reformatting and game data being lost because I forgot to back up that folder!
