if you really want to upgrade your videocard, then go for AGP rather than PCI. AGP is a ton faster. I'm a little hesitant to recommend any certain videocards because even AGP is becoming a dying technology for videocards. heck, i used to have an AGP comp a few days ago then i dropped $1100 on a quad core and stuff (specs are below) and it's awesome!

If you are going to upgrade your comp i wouldn't put more than a 100 bucks into the videocard.....heck, you cant find a whole lot of AGP's left - everything's going to PCI-Express 1.1 and 2.0.

Good luck man. There's always more cards out there, so keep looking. The new ATI Radeon 3850 is supposed to come to AGP, and that'll be the best one out there. So you can always wait for that one too. This may also help you....

some of the better agp cards need a lot of power so when you chose a card see if it has minimum acceptable power requirements and check against you power supply unit.
All new agp cards are agp8x, your slot is agp4x. They will work in that, but not at full speed, but it's not like you will only see half speed, it does not affect it very much.
I assume you want the new card for good 3d gaming? - how good?
You could get a much better graphics card than your existing one for not much money on ebay eg. Geforce4ti4200 is much better than your existing one and cheap these days. It depends how much better you need to go.

An ATI Radeon X1650Pro AGP would do the trick, you can pick one up for under 70 bucks now, but make sure you have a power supply at least 350 watts and an 18amp rating on the 12v+ rail.
