I have Qozmio x870 series laptop and I would like to upgrade to a 1920x1080, I tried contacting Toshiba and after talking to their "tech support" and left on eternal hold they were no help. I know their newer Qozmio are coming with that 1920x1080 resolution. If anyone knows where I can buy a screen with out having to go thru Toshiba please respond.

One other thing I would also like to get a white backlit keyboard to replace the red one I have know.

There's more to it than just replacing the screen. The video chip has to support it as well. Since that chip is designed for that resolution of display, I doubt your going to be able to upgrade.

Wouldn't be cost effective anyway. Do you realize that when using a higher resolution on the same physical screen size (17.3" in your case), the images will be smaller. LCD displays should be run in their native resolution.
