Hello all,

I have a Poweredge 2900 with a PERC5/i with 2 74G's set up as a mirror set. Which are running out of space. I am looking at two differnet options.1.) upgrading both drives to 250G and somehow rebuilding the mirrored set to the larger drives or 2.) Purchasing 1-74G and creating a RAID 5 set built from one of the orignial drives.

So I need some pros and cons for both otpions and some tips on how to rebuild either option.

The OS is suggested by MS to ntbackup then restore after you upgraded the array. Be warned that other applications may need various techniques to stop and re-start.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
