Hello
I got this notebook for christmas and it was only 750US$ at bestbuy.com but when i bought it the website said that it had a 64 mb mobile radeon(TM)(why the 32mb from 64 difference is so much is that the only ati mobile in 64 mb is the 9000 witch is hot) so i thought i was getting a super fast mobile video card. But when i got it it only
had 32mbmobile radoen in it plus to make it a lot not better it only half of the perforance of the 9000.
So I was wondering if there was some way to change the intergrated video card in it.
Is there a usb video card (haha) .It is a hp ze4210 go to bestbuy.com for full specs and its still for sale for 750$ its real nice for 750 but it would be better with a ati mobile 9000 in it.

Laptops are invariably difficult items to work with, given the restricted real estate and the purpose for which they were designed.

Installing a larger HDD, Swapping CD for FLoppy and adding memory are about the limit of a users capabilities and skills.

Typically the video chip is integrated on the motherboard and so is the video memory and whilst there may be blank spaces where additional memory would be inserted, the installation of the necessary chips is a 'factory' job as they are 'surface mount' chips and are attached in production using a flow soldering process. Not a simple job that you can do with a fine tipped soldering iron and a couple of chips!

So, unless you can convince your supplier that you did 'not receive the goods or services which were advertised' and demand that they resolve your complaint by replacement of a Laptop that has 64Mb of video memory, then you'll have to put up with half the performance that you expected.

That said, it may be possible in some laptops to allocate system RAM to video. This may be a workaround in your case.
