I just purchased an ATI 4870 Video Card on the internet and I am waiting on it while its shipping. Now I have 2 big questions.

1. Sound. I expect a vacuum cleaner noise level coming out of it when it is utilizing all GPU, but I need this card to be QUIET when its idle, especially for audio recording. How much dBA will it produce on idle time?

2. Is this compatible on my motherboard? I have ASUS P5B-E, Quad Core Q6600, 4 GB PC6400 of RAM and a crappy Okia 600 watts power supply.

I bought a Corsair Power Supply 750 watts, so if my Okia is not compatible, it will be replaced. I just need to make sure weather my system is compatible and the amount of sound this video card will produce.
