That's an older system that's not very well suited for Windows 7, however, the processor may not be the problem at all. How much RAM is installed? According to the HP site, the motherboard accepts up to a max of 2GB (1 x 2GB). If you're not running the max amount & you plan on sticking with Win7, that's where you should be spending your money.
