ABove is where to get your BIOS update.

IMPORTANT. If you make ONE mistake while doing this, your bios will be dead, and therefore, your computer will be unbootable. You will not be able to remedy this yourself if you do mess up. You will have to take you bios chip to be reprogrammed OR buy a new bios chip. Just don't do it if you are even 1% unsure.

COPIED FROM THE WEBSITE IMPORTANT SO READ IT.

FCCID=ATA0820P] Attention BIOS Upgraders
You need to know the manufacturer of your BIOS and the manufacturer of your motherboard to upgrade it. This site is a good site for info about motherboards and your BIOS ID string www.biostar.com.tw/support/bios/index.php3. 08/19/97-ALi-154x-2A5KIB09C-00 This is my ID string 2A stands for the motherboard manufacturer and 00 stands for the BIOS manufacturer. Also if you find that your motherboard manufacturer is biostar, then go to the support section under BIOS to see if there is an upgrade for yours. If your board is 3+ years old try going to the archiveds section when your in the support section.

Have a good one and be careful! It ain't fun when your "was working" pc becomes a blck of unusable metal and silicon.

And I based my statemennt above, on the BOIS ID TAG.

I take NO responsibility WHATSOEVER for anything that happens on your machine matey!

it looks right, but you should really open the machine, and check the motherboard for the manufacturer's model number and go to their website for the bios upgrade.

Up to you!
