BE CAREFUL!!!

Why do you wish to update your BIOS??? A faulty flash will render your PC useless. Your question suggests the process is not familiar with you

Is your PC malfunctioning or is the BIOS flash ESSENTIAL??

"If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!!"

However, you might like to read this example of a BIOS flash.

why do you want to update your BIOS? unless you are having problems with hardware that you have put in your system you should be well advise to not update your bios even board vendors make that clear.

If your pc somehow gets a power glitch while you are in the flashing process your board will become a paper weight after that. This is one update that isn't worth messing with unless you have to because it involves recoding hardware.

Hi
all caveats already explained above, the M2N-E bios 0203 is the latest so if its current dont bother else read info the asus web site very very carefully.

Well the problem is I bought RAM that might not be compatible with my mobo, and i've been reading around and everyone says to update your bios so it works.

My computer has never been tured on because I am waiting on the memory to get here and if it is not compatible will my computer be at risk?

Hi
just a quick question assuming you know its ddr2 240 pin , the ram your buying "may not be compatible"
is this a brand thing? ie your buying a non QVL listed brand of ram, if so the issue usually is Asus havnt tested every brand on their mobos eg corsair OCZ Geil etc ,
check google see if there any compatibilty issues being reported.

RAM: OCZ 2gb DDR2-800 PC6400 Gold eXtreme
Mobo: Asus M2N-E

I've read that the OCZ ram I bought isn't compatible with the mobo I have.
