hello there, can someone help me on how to unscrew a strip screw? i have to change the solid state drive but i cant :( unscrew the screw because it mess up.. so hard to do it because i think i strip it.. please

Get a small file (I mean really small) that is the same size as a small flat head screw driver and file a slot in it. You have to be very careful about the metal dust too. Vacuum while working and very good after. Might try a locking pliers or other pliers to the head if enough left. Playing to the angels Les Paul (1915-2009)

My little black PC repair kit has a tool that fits around the outside of screws for just such a purpose... don't know what it's called though. "Stripped screw unscrewer" maybe? LOL LIR

That would be the correct tool to try first. I thought about suggesting it but how many people have one? I'm sure there are other names, Screw extractor, easy out and such. Jennifer could call it almost anything and people would go wow! That's cool. :) Playing to the angels Les Paul (1915-2009)
