Helo Guyz!
I just read my mobos manual and found out it supports safe overclocking(Hybrid Booster for AsRock terminologies). SO, i made up my mind that i have to overclock my CPU, but i noticed in the Bios, the CPU ratio selection is LOCKED. but i tried the CPU Host Frequency from auto to manual. its actual frequency is 133Mhz. What is the 133MhZ? the 533Mhz FSB? becuase when i tried increasing the host frequency from 133 to 170Mhz and saved it, i found out that my CPU is o/c to 3.09Ghz. but wen i perform intel processor frequency utility, the system bus w/c is originally 533Mhz increases to 599Mhz. Am i doing ryt in O/C? What about the ratio selection? my mobo supports up to 533Mhz FSB. my ram is 2x256 DDR333..2.5-3-3-7. do i have the correct setup? Plz hELp!! I rily Want to play Battle for Middle Earth in the high setting. my V-card is Agp Inno3D Tornado Geforce FX 5500 256mb/128bit(270mhz core speed and 400mhz memory frequency)

Thanks in Advance!!!!

Multiplier (ratio) is locked on ALL Intel CPUs & cannot be changed. Yours is locked at 18.0x

Intel "quad-pumps" the FSB:
100MHz x 4 = 400FSB
133MHz x 4 = 533FSB
200Mhz x 4 = 800FSB

If you increase from 133MHz to 170MHz, the FSB should be 680 (170 x 4), not 599. 18.0 x 170 = 3.06GHz.

CPU:DRAM should be 1:1. Your RAM timing (2.5-3-3-7) appears to be correct.

Your video card is not a great one...but the game's system requirements aren't all that bad, so high settings "may" be possible:

Operating System: Windows XP or 2000
CPU: 1.3 GHz or faster
RAM: 256 MB or more
CD: 8x or faster DVD drive
Hard Disk Space: 4 GB or more free space
VIDEO: DirectX 9.0b compatible Video card with 32 MB or more memory and one of these chipsets is required: NVIDIA GeForce 2 GTS or greater, ATI Radeon 7500 or greater
CPU: DirectX 9.0b compatible sound card

Don't go in huge jumps. Raise the FSB 5-10MHz at a time, save the setting, reboot & test the system for stability...& keep an eye on the temps. Is your RAM running dual channel mode? What's your CPU:DRAM ratio set at?

I dont knw whats dual channel mode, bt i bet its not running in dual channel mode. ryt now.. i havent overclocked my cpu yet, still on 2.4ghz @fsb 533 and DDR333 2x256. bt a while ago, i tryd it overclocked up to 3.0 as ive sed..and load at windows..it runs ok..bt am afraid to try 8 in games..so i set it back to default. u knw i dnt hve an expensive RAM, my RAM's name is HTL.
