unable to boot d856 glc

Specs: Windows XP, 3.0/ 4x512
Im unable to boot my pc,i am only able to acsess f2.Earlier i had xp running ok,i must have changed a setting from f2 ,but im not sure what.the pc is not picking up my cd rom.how do i boot up ,or know the exact settings from the bios.i have been into the bios,but its all new to me.Should i be conecting up a flopy drive.or some type of recovery disk,if this would help

I think this explains everything. You changed a setting in your BIOS setup (F2), and now the computer doesn't boot. The best option for you is probably to load the BIOS defaults. I believe your board uses a Phoenix BIOS; there should be a menu option on the right that says something like "Load Fail-safe defaults." Your system should most likely boot after selecting this option.
