hi guys

I just installed a second dual video card on my machine.

The problem is after i restart my machine it will disable the first onboard video card and will only leave the one i installed as a primary.

How can i set it so that both the onboard video card and the second dual video card are in operation at the same time?

your help is much appreciated.

Thanks
Z

What is it that you're trying to do? The detection of the discrete video card *usually* disables the onboard video. If you need to run multiple monitors you *may* need to install a 2nd video card. It would help if you'd list your system specs, especially the motherboard & video card being used.

In the old days the onboard would still work when you put a separate card in. In most cases people then needed to disable the onboard as they only wanted to use the separate card. Then to make things easier the mobo makers seemed to start making them with the added feature that when it detected a graphics card in the graphics card slot then it would automatically disbale the onboard to help people. I am not aware that this 'automatic' function can be overridden.

Hi,

Correct. That is exactly what happenes.
I need to run both the onboard and the second video card i installed together. So i can run multiple moniters. Instead the onboard disables itself once it detects there is a new video card installed.

Can you please advise if there is a way to do this?
