Comment:

1. Can I connect ext. HD with USB 2 into regular USB ( mean USB 1 ) ?
2. Does Ext. HD need own OS system to work ?
or Ext. HD don't need any OS, just connect to any PC with their OS system for work ?

Hi,

I have yet to see a USB 2.0 device not be backward compatible. With that said, the only way to be 100% sure is to check the manufacturers website for info.

No. The external drive does not need an operating system to work.
