I have had to do it before, what I found was a cord that plugged into the "outlet" of one and into the line power in of the other then only had to switch one of them on and both would come to life...I had one that powered the mother board and fans while the other was hooked to all the drives....worked that way for a couple of years until I tore it down for parts.....a little more work would be involed if these are ATX type, are they ????

Keep the old stuff running

Yes, you can. Here is an article on setting it up (http://www.absoluteinsight.net/21) but this one just uses a "jumper" to allow the 2nd ATX PSU to be turned on manually. There are other mods out there that allow the 2nd PSU to be powered up when the first one starts up but I can't find them right now.
