Hi
Is there a way I can have two NIC on one computer? I want to use a crossover clabe to share Internet Conn, but my router does not seem to work.

You could but why bother if you have a router?
What exactly do you have?
1) router only
2) router/switch combo
3) router with seperate hubIf you have a router/switch you can do this easily if you have a DSL or Cable internet. You just need to set up the router and your computers for DHCP.

I have SBC Yahoo DSL, and a Wired based station
MN-100 from Microsoft. I don't know much about sharing an Internet Connection. What's a DHCP? and how do I set up my computers to DHCP?
Thank you

yes the 2 nics work perfectly fine for me, im using a hub thow i had a problem howevey the connection to the hub would not detect, little did i know the cable i had was a crossover, in time i learned my mistake, i simply picked up a straight through cable and it gave me wonders.... as for the router it may not be the same, just a suggestion "I want to use a crossover clabe to share Internet Conn, but my router does not seem to work. " maybe try the straight through...i believe if your going to use a crossover then just dont use any router device.... correct me if im wrong

Crossover cables will not work with a router, you need a straight line cable to work w/router.

Crossovers will run from a cable modem to the router and straight thru from the router to all the machines on the network.
As I recall, DSL is this area also requires a xover or uplink switch between the modem and pc's.
You should find several cabling options in your modem documentation to cover what you want to do such as xover cable from modem to NIC #1 and straight thru cable from NIC #2 to second pc.
Clear as mud?
