At the back of my comuter I have 2 blue ports for plugging a monitor into. My Monitor at the moment is plugged into my GeForce gfx card blue slot. I have a spare slot which I think is built into my motherboard. I was thinking of settings up dual display, but I have never been able to plug my monitor into the other blue slot (the one on the motherboard) and get a monitor to work. Can anyone tell me how I can fix this problem? Thanks

Not enough information given. What motherboard do you have. If in fact you have a onboard graphics chip and it is interfaced with an AGP Bus then you can't use both. Either the onboard, or the card, not both.

I dont know much about hardware issues. So how would i manage to have dual display on my pc? would i need to by another card? What i wanted to do was plug my main monitor into my gfx card AGP, and a TFT monitor into my onboard slot.. so that wouldnt work?

Do you want the monitors to be showing the same screens or differecnt screens?
1) for different screens read this. Looks like you will need a video card that supports 2 monitors. onboard video will not work.

We use KVM splitters at work & they are fine. I never tried the first technique.
good luck
