Hi,
I would be grateful if anyone could help me:
Whenever play movies on my PC and display them on my TV using Tv-out, they appear as a purple box where the movie should be play, but play fine on PC?

I forgot to say that the graphics card I am using for the TV-Out is a GeForce4 MX 440 DDR 64MB

Certain drivers for the GF4 cause that problem. For my GF4 TI4200 I have to use Detonator 30.82 for all movies to play on the TV. Try the various detonator drivers at guru3d.com

I can display everything that is on my PC on my TV apart from movies. I have tried playing the movies in several different players, but they always appear as a purple box that constantly stays the same. I have tried many different drivers and it's still not displaying the movies. Thanks for the help though.

Under display properties make the TV the Primary monitor. I had the same problem and this solved it.

Thank You very much. That did the trick - it works perfectly, just set the Tv as primary display and now the purple box appears on the PC and the TV plays the movies fine. Excellent, I have been trying to fix that for ages.
