i have a friend who has a tv-out radeon 9800, with S-video out. we hookd that up to his sony tv but it comes out horribly blurry. the cable seems fine. the tv works fine by using its tuner, or the Ps2 console, but the tvout from the computer doesnt work really well at all. any suggestions?

Since TV's have much lower resolutions than computer monitors, the picture is indeed poorer by comparison. Lower your screen resolution to around 800x600 so that the picture doesn't seem so grainy, which at least will be good enough for video. I don't recommend trying to read text, unless you use the magnifier function.
