I want to install a TV Tuner card into my computer. If I use a "y" splicer from the wall out put with one cable going to the regular TV and the other cable to my computer will it work.( I dont have cable but where Im staying does) Or do i need a box to watch my own channels and stuff. I have no clue how any of this cable TV stuff works but I just want to be able to get cable TV in my room from the same wall output as the main TV without interfering with the main tv (i.e. you couldnt tell unless you looked at the "Y" splitter). Thanks for any help in advance.

If you don't put too many splitters in the whole system, use good cable, and make good terminations, you should be good to go.
