Hi, I started using my axis fx pad on a new system and am having problems now. This didn't happen on the old system. I installed Need for speed games: hot pursuit 2, underground, and underground 2-the demo. the problem is that when there is intense vibration from the gamepad, the games lock up! i have to unplug the pad and replug it back for the game to pick bck up. i'd love to disable the vib. in my control panel preferences, but it doesn't give me the option. i only have that option in some games... any suggestions?

try downloading the latest drivers for the controller. if the company of the controller has like a utility for it, use it. Usually the company lets you specify new settings in these utilities, like vib. control. Most controllers i know of simply has a button or switch that lets you turn the vib. off. Idk about yours though.

if all else fails, toss that SOB into the trash, and get yourself a true Force Feedback Wheel with pedals and all the goodies. Now thats some sweet virtual reality racing right there, beats the crap out of mouse/keyboard combo, or even a gamepad/controller.
