When did your problem start? have you installed any software/hardware recently?
this blue light that you mention, did this flash when your computer ran properly, ie when you did see the sreen?
One thing you could try is, take out the battery, hold down the power button for a few seconds then replace the battery.
there could be many issues with your laptop,
could be the screen itself, this is why an external monitior is required to rule out the screen.
could be the graphics chip, again the external monitor can rule that out too.
could be display settings, but that we can only check after you confirm with an external monitor.
