i turn it on and the blue light flashes ,but no screen

Do you have an external monitor?, try plugging that in to see if you get a display.

When did your problem start? have you installed any software/hardware recently?

this blue light that you mention, did this flash when your computer ran properly, ie when you did see the sreen?

One thing you could try is, take out the battery, hold down the power button for a few seconds then replace the battery.

there could be many issues with your laptop,

could be the screen itself, this is why an external monitior is required to rule out the screen.

could be the graphics chip, again the external monitor can rule that out too.

could be display settings, but that we can only check after you confirm with an external monitor.

i am assuming you havw=e a laptop if so sounds like the same prob i had if so it could be that your lcd screen connector prongs are not fully connected behind your screen or that the plug is faulty relatively easy fix
