I have taken one of my computers and created an image file that spans across 8 cd's. I did that with Norton Ghost and had no problems at all.

I now want to take my other computer and load this image file on. I deleted all partitions on the new computer and I boot up into Norton Ghost from the boot disk I created. When I select my source, it does not seem to display my cd-rom which contains not only the boot disk info, but the start of the image file as well.

I get an error saying there is a write problem with the disk. Anybody have an idea? Sorry, didn't know which forum this belonged in.

Hello,

You suppose first to create partitions
on your new PC's HDD and then...
You NGhost boot disk may not content the
DOS CD-ROM drivers, so you can first use a regular boot disk with "CD-ROM support", eject it after having the A:\> prompt
insert NGhost boot disk and use dir command:
A:\>dir to find ghost.exe (or ghostpe.exe)file

goods luck and keep us posted

Stefan
