XP 6 Setup Floppies are only for starting install you still need an Optical Drive

Windows XP would be a bad choice, Windows 2000 maybe, but you need an external USB CD Drive whatever O/S.

As Pater state, the 6 XP floppies are used to start the'd still need a CD drive & the XP CD.

I hope you didn't pay much for that old system? It's way too weak to run XP. Even if you get it to install, performance will be horrible. You should be installing Win98SE or Win2000, or you may wanna try one of the lightweight versions of Linux.
