✔ Best Answer
Your DeskJet 3050A is compatible with "Apple Airprint" which is supported on the iPad Mini, but you must have a wireless network already setup with at least one computer or laptop and a wireless router. A computer or laptop is required so that you can connect it by ethernet cable to the router to configure the wireless settings.

You can then connect both the iPad Mini & the HP printer to the same router wirelessly so that the iPad Mini can "see" the printer and communicate with it.

If you don't have a wireless router and a PC or laptop, you cannot print wirelessly to any printer.
